This story both broke and swelled my heart when I read it. Here's to you, little Harper, that you may continue to thrive!

Shovel Head
Somebody I was speaking to on the street one time told me that G had a shovel head (like most pitties) in that her "forehead" resemble the top part of a shovel where it meets the handle.
I laughed because it was funny (slash true) and every once in awhile I get a good shot of a sleepy G face that really does remind me of shovel - a gorgeous, snuggly little pittie shovel:

Fall Fashionista
Well, this Friday marks the first day of fall and what better way to celebrate the coming of one of my and G's favorite seasons than by donning some sassy new apparel!
On Etsy, G and found this super adorable, super girly Autumn flower collar set from Bow Wow Couture. I think it will really compliment her reddish blonde coat and, obviously, bring out her blue and brown eyes. Because each item is made to order we are still waiting on pins and needles for the collar's arrival, but I'll be sure to take too many pictures of G in it when it arrives and share them!

Patriotic Pittie
Today is the tenth anniversary of 9/11 - the day the world changed. To show our support for those who have been affected, G and I decided to roll down to Riverside Drive around 12:30 today to check out the FDNY Memorial parade that was taking place this afternoon.
Little did we know we must have timed it just perfectly as the moment we hit Riverside a motorcycle brigade began to come through. I don't think anyone watching would have suspected, but it took about 35 minutes for all of the motorcycles to pass by - I would safely guess there were no less the a few thousand motorcycles (it was unreal)!
G was a real trooper and watched them rolled by (I guess being half deaf has its advantages), smiling and waving at the motorcyclists as they passed by. Eventually we ending up in the park and as you can see in the background of this first picture, the motorcycles just didn't stop coming.

All in all, it was nice to get outside and show our support, even in a small way, to all of those who heroically gave their lives in the name of helping others and their country. We will never forget.

Labor Day Smiles
Hope everyone had a relaxing Labor Day - the weather was beautiful for G and I (though we were in different cities)!
